Veterans and their families who are homeless or in danger of homelessness can receive temporary assistance and counseling to help them get back on their feet. The progam could pay for rent, utilities, car repairs, or child care expenses for those who qualify.
Legal services – Through a partnership with the Shreveport Bar Association, we host periodic legal clinics specifically geared to the needs of veterans
Adult Day Health Center – Allows those with physical or intellectual disabilities to have a care and activities during the day and return home in the evenings.
Permanent Housing – In partnership with the Renaissance Neighborhood Development Corporation of New Orleans, we can link veterans to permanent, rental housing.
Improvements to the Veterans Transitional Living Facility — including landscaping, solar panels, energy efficient windows, a bus shelter and a new patio — were provided by a grant from The Home Depot Foundation. Thank you for your dedication to the well being of our veterans!
