Many veterans find their military experience does not quite prepare them for civilian life. Or sometimes the trauma of war makes the transition more complicated.
We are committed to serve those who have served us, whether homeless or struggling to find stability. Currently we offer two different programs for veterans in need:
Veterans Transitional Living Program
Director Gary Jaynes 212-0663
This 56-bed tranisitional shelter provides food and shelter for homeless, single men. Through a structured program and individual goal setting they are given the tools to successfully reach independence.
Supportive Services for Veteran Families
429-7500 or 1-800-222-3196
Veterans and their families who are homeless or in danger of homelessness can receive temporary assistance and counseling to help them get back on their feet.
Improvements to the Veterans Transitional Living Facility — inlcuding landscaping, solar panels, energy efficient windows and a new patio — were provided by a grant from The Home Depot Foundation.
