Current openings:

Housing Case Manager (Shreveport/Bossier area) – Volunteers of America North Louisiana is currently accepting resumes for a full time Housing Case Manager.  This position in a permanent supportive housing program provides assistance to eligible very low-income participants between the ages of 18-62 who have a diagnosed disability.  Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in social services or a related discipline, and two years of experience in social service work.

Residential Trainer (Shreveport) –  Resumes are being accepted for a Residential Trainer position.  This position covers weekend shifts (typically 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) or relief shifts.  The mission of this position is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals who reside in a residential setting.  Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing training to residents as stipulated by the behavioral health service plan and document this, as well as other daily activities, in daily logs and progress notes.  Also, transporting clients to appointments; planning and conducting structured activities; and coordinating with the resident’s Case Manager concerning resident’s progress, including appropriate changes to the service plan.  Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; prior work experience in a program that serves persons with intellectual disabilities preferred; CMA certification preferred; and current certification in CPR/First Aid.
