BABY CLOSET COORDINATOR

If you’re an organizer then this is a great job for you!  This person will oversee organizing donations of baby clothes and baby items and coordinate other Baby Closet volunteers.

BABY CLOSET VOLUNTEER

Cute baby clothes galore!  Help us sort and organize our baby closet donations!

RECEPTIONIST

This is a very enjoyable position as you are the first person to welcome and acknowledge our valued walk-in clients and callers.

ADULT LITERACY BOOK-MAGAZINE COORDINATOR

If you love books this is the job for you!  Collect gently used books and magazines to be given to Partners in Literacy students and also be distrubuted to our Homeless and Mental Health clients.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

This person will work with the Executive Assistant to attract new partners, donors, volunteers and help spread the word of the good works of Volunteers of America.

CRAFTER

Are you crafty!!  We are always in need of help making decorations for events as well as gift bags for the children and adults we serve.

HOMELESS OUTREACH VOLUNTEER

There is always a need for individuals or “teams” to make street contact with our homeless population and assist in collecting and distributing food and personal items.

PREPARE A MEAL

Do you love to cook?  We need help preparing meals for Parenting Classes and our Teen Outreach Program!

PROJECT COORDINATOR

This person will plan small fundraising events and collection drives and assist with community outreach.

PARTNERS IN LITERACY TUTOR

Volunteer as a tutor to teach adults over the age of 18 to read or English as a second language.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Time!  — Bring your own bread, peanut butter and jelly and make sandwiches to distribute to the homeless or for Teen Outreach class.

COORDINATE A DRIVE – Volunteers of America supplies many different items to those we serve for emergency situations and to assist them in maintaing an acceptable quality of life.  Coordinate a baby drive for diapers, formula, wipes and clothing.  Coordinate a drive for the homeless and collect cold or warm weather items.  Other ideas are a Back to School drive, hygiene items and toys for the holidays.

THROW A PARTY – Give a party to celebrate a holiday or a monthly birthday party for clients!

Pack the Pack! – Fill a back pack for the homeless.  Items such as socks, t-shirts, underwear, hats, gloves, bug spray, toothpaste, soap and a towel.  Plus they will have a backpack to carry their items in.

Host a Fundraiser – Have a yard sale, car wash or 5K to support the services we provide.  Remember your collected dollars stay right HERE in Cenla!

Display our Information – Are you a small business or agency that supports our work?  We would love to display our materials.

Be our photographer/videographer – Help us capture special moments and events to highlight the programs we provide to our community.
