Partners in Literacy
Who we are
More than 32 million adults living in our country cannot read or write above a fifth grade level and are therefore, unable to master skills most of us take for granted. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for adults, 18 and older, to have the ability to read and write at no cost to themselves. We offer free, individualized tutoring, including the option of after-work hours. Our program enables clients to get jobs, increase skill sets, obtain a GED, fill out medical and legal forms, and so much more. We also offer free ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for adults needing to learn English and acclimate to American culture.
What we offer
- Peer, one-on-one tutoring
- Assistance with financial, medical and legal literacy
